Hey, remember us? After finally escaping from the bottoms of our respective schedules, Ben and I have returned with a brand new episode of the Full Glass Empty Clip Podcast! We talk at length about Valve, Portal 2 and the awesome things that happen inside that Pacific Northwest house of wonders, maybe rag on NPD, Ubisoft and game reviewers a fair bit, but really, you can think of this episode as making up for lost time. More rants! More bashing! More love! More gushing! More beer nerdery! More time than we’re supposed to take! All of that and more awaits you in the second triumphant return of the Full Glass Empty Clip Podcast! Please, share and enjoy, and talk back at us at fgecpodcast@fullglassemptyclip.com.

Piracy occurs on the big bad Internets, as Crysis 2 gets leaked and spread far and wide through the less reputable channels of the World Wide Web. Also, Ben and I express confusion as to the appeal of Battlestar Galactica, Activision summons the ghost of an old franchise in order to twist it into something new and horrifying, Chell from Portal joins the ranks of female game characters that look like actual women, we alternately defend and accuse gamers of being sexual deviants, more confusion as to what the Hell is going on in David O. Russell’s head, and a new gaming peripheral that’s tailor-made for this podcast debuts. Please, share and enjoy, and contact us at fgecpodcast@fullglassemptyclip.com.

Yes, the date at the top is a day late. There were some planned new ideas that did not pan out in time, but soon! Soon, new shiny will be among us. I blame football, as I do for nearly everything, independent of season. We now have a place for all fifteen of you who listen to the show to hurl abuse at us in private! Or maybe constructive criticism or possibly compliments, if that’s your style. Please, email us at fgecpodcast@fullglassemptyclip.com, and tell us how we’re doing and mock us for our tardiness. It’s the only way we’ll learn.

In today’s delayed podcast, we talk about the utter dearth of information imparted by the new Battlefield 3 teaser, Valve is making enough money to buy and sell all of us, we think back on the monster success of the PS2, Microsoft caves in to our demands, game movie news that doesn’t involve Uncharted, I’m alternatively mean and complimentary to Canada, then geek out about an upcoming Android game, and as we found ourselves with some spare time, we dive deep into our navels and talk about beer for ten minutes. Why we drink it, and why it’s something we can all be proud of as Americans. Oh, and Canadians. We don’t mention it, but Unibroue makes some badass beer too. Please, enjoy.

Well, I fear it is time for me to say those dreaded words for all of you: the Full Glass Empty Clip Podcast is going on break. I’m off to Europe for a vacation for the next week or so, and so in that time, there will unfortunately be no podcast. I have made arrangements with the gaming industry to release no news of any import while we’re away, so don’t worry about missing anything from us.

However, while we’ve got you here, why not listen to this brand new podcast? We’ve got the preliminary results from Child’s Play 2010, our collective hard-on for Bulletstorm grows ever larger, the Kinect clones are coming, Harmonix might be in more trouble than we think (or none at all), and we gaze deep into our navels regarding explosive barrels and the preferred coloration thereof and why Minecraft hit the right buttons to become a smash hit. Enjoy, and we will talk at you again in two weeks.

Preparations have begun in earnest for the annual family tradition of subjecting poultry to our pathetic attempts to render something resembling the Rockwell-esque family feast ideal. Neighbors have been notified, the proper authorities alerted and the Army is on standby in case we have a repeat of two years ago and need to, as the documentary film Aliens taught us, pull out and nuke the site from orbit (it’s the only way to be sure). This year, our household has decided to add third-degree burns to the roulette wheel of potential disasters by frying our turkey. We hope to produce a juicy and succulent bird for the family, or to at least go out in a flavor-injected twenty-foot fireball.

But you are not here to read about our culinary misadventures; you’re not here to read at all! For the podcast this week, we have some useful consumer advice on this week’s big game sales, the cancellation of the Ender’s Game game, Kinect possibly takes a tentative step towards the future, we finally codify our lambasting of game company executives into a new segment, and I give my thoughts on Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Please, enjoy!
