Pete then teleported most of us out to BDP so that he could conjure up a ghast and get it to fight a giant zombie (without worrying about the pretty stadium getting torn up).
Sorry I didn’t get a better shot of this one. I was a bit preoccupied.

Not one but THREE giant zombies for our killing pleasure.

A shitload of spiders in the New Ham stadium, generated for our killing pleasure.

In case it’s not obvious what you’re looking at, that’s a dungeon that was generated by the server without a floor. Severian and I were in the area and I kept thinking, “How can there be so many spiders here?!”
Then I looked up.
Then we ran.

This is the second AC power station, supplying power and blinking functionality to the sand pyramid.

Here’s what the completed blinking lights look like on the temporaklypse sand pyramid. They’re all hooked up to a power station on the shore.

I left you a present in case you miss me while I’m logged off.

Let me show you them.

I figured as long as you’re standing there making the server pay attention to a bunch of chunks, you might as well grow some trees, right?

TooMuchPete is hard at work high atop The Shroom.

Here’s the standard glassed-in shelter I’ve built on top of the entrances to the Chorizo Tunnel.

View from the bottom.

Shot 2 of the canyon. Mistersc looks out from an opening in the cliffside.

We found this while exploring areas around The Road. Is it a game glitch, or someone’s secret huge project?

The Spiral Forest lit up at night. It seems to be a pretty safe place to hang out with all those torches. Only the last segment is unlit (it’s too high to put anything on) but no mobs ever seem to spawn there anyway.

The Spiral Forest as seen from inside the FishBike Estate at sunset.

Trees grow weirdly near the top of the spiral forest. It seems the tree growing algorithm calculates there’s plenty of headroom, but blocks that would have been placed above the top of the world are simply not placed. So you get trees like these.

Here’s what the spiral forest looks like from the top, looking down the inside of the spiral. The lighter dot in the center of the water is an underwater torch, to give you something to aim for at night when diving off.

Since living at BDP was lagging me like crazy (and possibly killing the server) I wanted to create a new /home. This is the complete opposite of BDP in as many ways as I could make it. Light, open, airy, and still secure. Obviously inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. The building itself is meant to be accessible only by secure underground tunnel. The outside, while appearing open, has at least a 2-block jump up to any entrance surface.

The Big Dumb Project casts a constant shadow, and the hostile mobs spawn there in the dark. Constantly. Always. They’re never not there. It’s kind of intense.
[I set my view distance to short to make things fog up so you could see those jerks out there]

The BDP used to just be a sheet of approximately 30,000 blocks of dirt providing shade to an area somewhere around 125 blocks wide by 245 blocks long. Now it’s becoming a step pyramid or ziggurat or whatever you want to call it. This will be the entrance when approaching from the west.
Once the project is done, the entire interior will be in darkness. It will be a very dangerous and lovely place.
