Mefight Club is a community of like-minded adult gamers who believe that gaming can be fun and at the same time be inclusive, that gamers are good people, and that to give is as good as to receive. One of our members recently suggested that we donate to Child's Play, and we thought that was a mighty fine idea. We're a community with an odd penchant for generosity, both towards each other and random internet strangers (that's the 'odd' part), so it seemed a natural for us.
Donation Drive 2010: On December 20, 2010, we donated $4155 to Child's Play after our 2010 Funding Drive.
Donation Drive 2011: On January 12, 2012, we donated exactly $4444.44 to Child's Play after our 2011 Funding Drive.

In five short years, you as a community have answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.' It's exactly the sort of thing we Mefight Club members can get behind.

Mefight Club
Mefight Club was started in 2007 by a group of Metafilter members who were excited about playing Team Fortress 2 together. It has since grown into a vibrant community in its own right, with over 1200 members. We have one cardinal rule: have fun, and in having fun, don't make things less fun for other people. Also, rotato. We have many public gaming servers, including but not limited to Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Minecraft, also hosted through the generosity of our members.
