Why real names in blizzard forums is a bad thing

In case you think Nattie’s fears are overblown, here’s where Ryan Erickson challenges people to find out more details about him with just his name, with fairly predictable results.

A blizzard employee, Bahiok, also posted his real name to the Blizzard forum to demonstrate it was harmless, and rapidly had his facebook account, his phone number, address and many other details revealed to the world in very short order. Those posts have now been deleted, and the facebook account deleted.
